Wall Grazing
Light travelling nearly parallel to a wall surface — texture first, evenness never.
Wall grazing places fixtures tight to the wall face (80–200 mm). Light travels almost parallel to the surface, so every relief casts a shadow, and the surface reads as sculpture.
The technique works from above (ceiling-recessed) or below (floor-recessed). The choice is aesthetic — architectural from below, cinematic from above.
Grazing amplifies material. On smooth plaster it looks like a mistake — use it only where texture is the point.
